From my earliest memories growing up in Kenya in East Africa I have been a wanderer ... watching for the view over the next hill, exploring rough tracks and the most remote places I could reach, whether on a horseback or in a four wheel drive vehicle.

As a boy I used to draw and paint the African wildlife and landscapes. As a man I dabbled in photography until a few years ago I really got the urge to attempt to capture the beautiful landscapes around me. Now my life seems to have been consumed by the urge to seek out those unique and subtle combinations of lines, textures, light, colour, depth and movement that nature so kindly lays out for our enjoyment.

I am always looking for a different perspective in the landscape or that little something in the behaviour of birds and other animals in their natural environments that lets us into their world for a moment.

Now, as a full time nomad with my partner Julie, I am travelling around Australia, Asia and Africa, living on the road, and posting new photos and videos as I go. We have plans to wander even further through the Americas and Europe but that is all on hold now until we can resume international travels.

My photography is my passion. I truly hope you enjoy looking at these images. I have a wonderful time travelling to so many places to try and get "that special shot"

The photos in this web site are split into two main sections. The Portfolio contains what I feel is my best work and I rotate the images on display from time to time. The Travel Photos section is much bigger and provides a special insight into the many places we visit.
We have been keeping a blog (Follow Dusty Tracks) for several years now and you can read much more about our travels in detail. Just look for the Blog in the Travels menu at the top of this page.
Please feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions about any particular photo or location.
